Dear BPS Community:

It is with great pride and joy that I share that Dana Martin of Northeast Middle School has been named Bristol Public Schools 2027 Paraeducator of the Year.

Dana exemplifies the very best of our profession. Every day, she brings compassion, patience, and unwavering dedication to the students she serves. She has a remarkable ability to connect with children, helping them build confidence, independence, and a belief in their own potential. Her impact extends far beyond academics; she helps students feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

One of the most memorable moments of this recognition came when Dana was surprised with the news in her classroom. Before the announcement was even finished, students rushed to surround her with hugs and excitement. Their genuine love and admiration spoke volumes about the relationships she has built and the difference she makes in their lives every day.

Dana's work is driven not by recognition, but by an authentic commitment to helping children thrive. She is a trusted colleague, a champion for students, and an extraordinary member of the Northeast Middle School family.

Please join me in congratulating Dana Martin on this well-deserved honor and in thanking her for the countless ways she enriches the lives of our students and our school community.

With gratitude and pride,

Iris White
