Reimagining BPS - 2023

The Reimagining BPS 2023 Plan occurs in two phases over the next three to four years and will meet the following four BPS Board of Education goals established in March of 2020:

Renovate old and outdated schools;
Redistrict to create parity in class sizes and demographics;
Adopt consistent grade configurations and instructional models across all schools aligned to the developmental plane of the child; and
Increase access to full-day prekindergarten programming.

During the 2022-23 school year, the following aspects of the Reimagining BPS 2023 Plan will occur:

BAIMS will open and welcome middle and high school students in August of 2022;
Edgewood Elementary School will close in June of 2023 and students in all K-8 schools will be redistricted;
Bristol Early Childhood Center prekindergarten students and school readiness programs will become one program in the newly redesigned Pre-K Academy at Edgewood School in the Fall of 2023; and
Continue making progress on the Northeast Middle School building project.

Bristol All-Heart Hotline

The Bristol All-Heart Hotline has been established for Bristol residents in need of social services or other support during this public health emergency. The phone number is: 860-584-6253. The hotline is structured for residents who are confined to their home, are elderly and thus at risk if they go to the grocery store, families who cannot reach the school food distribution sites, and other situations.
