Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) 

The Family Medical Leave Act of 1993 is a federal law that entitles employees to job protected unpaid leave from work for up to 12 weeks in any 12 month period for the following reasons:

  • The care of a child after birth or adoption or placement of a child
  • The serious health condition of the employee
  • The serious health condition of a child, spouse, domestic partner, or parent

FMLA also includes a special leave entitlement that permits eligible employees to take up to 26 weeks of leave to care for a covered servicemember during a single 12-month period.

If you are injured at work, please take the following steps:
1.  Report the injury to your Building Administrator immediately, whether or not you require medical attention.

2.  Work with the Building Administrator to complete the
 First Report of Illness or Injury Report and ensure that the form is submitted to the Talent Management Office, Benefits Coordinator.

3.  If needed, seek treatment at an approved treatment center:
