Letter From Adminstration

Dear Edgewood PreK Families and Community,

Welcome to Edgewood PreK Academy. This is my first year as the
proud Supervisor at Edgewood PreK after having taught in grades
PreK-First with Hartford Public Schools and CREC. Previously, I was
also a Special Education Administrator and Early Childhood Consultant
with LEARN.

For many of you, this may be your child’s first school experience. We

are here to help support the transition in every way. In addition to our
amazing early childhood classroom staff, we have a full team of special
education teachers, speech and language pathologists, a physical and
occupational therapist, school social worker, and behavior support
liaison. Our strong team works collaboratively with all families and
community partners to ensure a successful start for each and every
child’s educational career.

I am excited to partner with families throughout the year to support the

ongoing development of Edgewood’s mission and vision. We will look
for opportunities to come together as a community through monthly
family nights, school fundraisers, volunteer opportunities both in and out
of school, and so much more. If you have an idea of how you might
support our community, please reach out!

I look forward to our ongoing collaboration and success.

In Partnership,
Courtney Sugarman
