DISTRICT UPDATE as of 1/12/21

Bristol Public Schools would like to share the following information:
● CT positivity rate as reported today is 10.72%.
● On 1/07/2021, the DPH reported that the average rate of positive cases for Bristol was 56.3 per 100,000.
● Since January 1, 2021, Bristol Public Schools COVID Health and Safety Liaisons have traced 47 positive cases related to students o r employees of Bristol Public Schools.
● Since January 1, 2021, Bristol Public Schools logged 94 tracing events related to students and employees.
● In the event you are called to school for a sick child, please review these BBHD guidelines.

TRAVEL UPDATE

Please click here for the CT Travel Advisory effective 1-21-21.

If you traveled to a state on the CT Travel Advisory and stayed longer than 24 hours, your child must obtain a COVID-19 test three days prior to leaving the state or upon return. A negative COVID-19 test must be presented to the school prior to your child’s reentry. The Department of Public Health also requires that you quarantine at home until you receive the results. As always, please report any exposures, illnesses and positive COVID cases to your child’s school nurse and complete the appropriate absence form.

  • Access the CDC quarantine calendar start and end quarantine calendar to determine the start and end dates of quarantine for travelers returning to CT from restricted areas.

Food Distribution Plan

All students enrolled in Bristol Public Schools are eligible for free breakfast and lunch.

 Pre-packed meals and multi-day meal packages will be available for pickup. Please read the food distribution schedule carefully as there are changes to food distribution before, during, and immediately following Winter Recess.  Click here for the food distribution schedule.

Bristol All-Heart Hotline

 Bristol All Heart Logo The Bristol All-Heart Hotline has been established for Bristol residents in need of social services or other support during this public health emergency. The phone number is: 860-584-6253. The hotline is structured for residents who are confined to their home, are elderly and thus at risk if they go to the grocery store, families who cannot reach the school food distribution sites, and other situations.
