To be eligible for membership in the Bristol Central Chapter of the National Honor Society a student must possess a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 or better for his/her first five semesters and must demonstrate the qualities of character, service and leadership as determined by vote of the NHS Faculty Council. Juniors are tapped for membership in the spring and seniors are tapped in the fall. A formal induction ceremony is held in the spring of each year.

A student activity packet is filled in by students who meet the required overall GPA of 3.7 in the second semester of their junior year. These students, who are eligible for membership in the National Honor Society, are contacted by the National Honor Society Adviser and invited to fill in the packet. Seniors who are not members of the National Honor Society who meet the cut-off GPA requirement are also invited to fill in the packet in December of their senior year. For more information about our selection process, please view the "Pillars of Membership" and the "Selection Procedure," both available on this website.
