WELCOME TO FIRST GRADE!

We had a wonderful field trip to the Pequot Musuem in November to begin our unit on families and community.  The students enjoyed seeing life long ago through the eyes of a Pequot child.  They have been able to really connect and compare life of childern in the past to their life today!  Now we are studying mammals in science and learning about some animals that live in the Polar regions.

In Writer's Workshop our budding authors are learning to make How To books.  They are creating books that teach us how to make sandwiches, tie our shoes, and oh so many things!

Our first graders are wild about FRINDLE and have been excited to read at home with their families.  We are looking forward to the family project night.
