Taking Tests
Does your middle grader panic over big tests? Try these tips to help her.
First, recommend reviewing for an hour or so-and avoiding late night cram sessions. Class notes and old quizzes are good places to start. Past homework is helpful too, because similar questions may appear. Then, you can offer to quiz her.
Make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast. Suggest wearing comfy clothes and taking necessary supplies, such as pencils and paper.
Finally, encourage her to get to class a little early. That way, she won’t feel rushed when the test begins.
