Overview of Contest
In celebration of the Hunger Games book series and in anticipation of the release of the Hunger Games movie on March 23, 2012, the BEHS Library hosted its own Hunger Games! Students competed for a Hunger Games themed Fandango gift card.
The winner was Chantel!

The BEHS Hunger Games began in February 2012 with a Reaping. One boy and girl per grade were selected from student volunteers. Students entered once initially, and additional entries (Tesserae) were based on the number of books a student had checked out from the library this year. The BEHS Hunger Games tested students' physical, mental, and artistic abilities. Potential activities included, but were not limited to: a cornucopia, trivia, jeopardy, geography, foot race, fashion show, cake decorating, and archery (with toys). Each challenge resulted in one elimination. Reading the book was not required, but was highly recommended because (1) it is fabulous see a review here and (2) it helped with the contests.
