What is ConnectEd?

We want to keep you connected and informed of the events occurring in your child’s school and in the district.

As technology has advanced, so has our ability to quickly communicate with large numbers of people.  ConnectEd makes use of newer technologies in voice and text distribution that allows us to send a message to multiple phone and e-mail addresses for each of our nearly 9,000 students in a matter of minutes. Before implementing this system, it would have taken hours to reach the same number of people and required dozens of people to manually make these phone calls. The ConnectEd system leaves a message on your answering machine if the phone is not answered; assuring that you will receive our message even if you are not at home.

We have used this system to alert parents and staff of both emergency and non-emergency situations occurring at a particular school or the entire district.

ConnectEd can be used to distribute information to groups with a school, a whole school, several schools or the entire district. Through our ConnectEd system, you may receive messages about upcoming events such as state testing periods, parent conferences, Open House or to tell you that a bus route has been delayed.  We believe that this improved communication system has already demonstrated its tremendous benefit of connecting with our parents efficiently and effectively.
