Special Education

The Special Education Department provides a full range of support services to students who require special assistance during the school day in their educational programs.  Help is designed specifically for a student’s individual needs.  Assistance is determined at a Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meeting where an Individual Education Program(IEP) will be prescribed that affords him/her a maximum degree of support while encouraging academic success, and social and emotional independence.  The special education support services of both high schools are utilized to service the needs of our students.  Listed below are programs offered in the Special Education Department.
