SILVER TEAM GUIDELINES AND EXPECTATIONS

Welcome to the Silver Team. We look forward to working together to provide a positive educational experience for all of our students. The following information is important so please read it carefully. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to meeting you at the Open House at the beginning of the school year.

BEHAVIOR
All students are expected to act in a respectful and courteous manner at all times. Students will be told of expectations and consequences. When students’ behavior requires disciplinary action, parents will be notified. We would like to establish good communication with parents, and work together to create a safe and positive learning environment for all students on the Silver Team. Continued infractions may result in loss of special team activities.

ACADEMICS AND HOMEWORK
Our goal is to provide a strong program for all students. We are committed to working with students and helping them to be successful in the classroom. Homework will be given on a daily basis. It is our expectation that all homework be completed neatly and on time. Specific homework policies will be discussed in individual classes. It is expected that students bring their planners to all classes. All assignments should be written down in the planner. Teachers will stamp MISSING HOMEWORK in the planner when homework is not completed. Parents should check the planner regularly and initial any entries. When no homework is given students should spend time reading, studying, and working on assigned projects.

ABSENCES
It is the responsibility of each student to make up schoolwork if they are absent. When returning to school after an absence, students should check with all teachers to find out what he/she missed. Students will be given a reasonable amount of time to complete their makeup work. If students are absent for longer than one day, a request for work can be made to the Team Leader.

MATERIALS
Students will be provided with a list of materials necessary for each class. The following items should be brought to all classes on a daily basis:

  • Pencils, pens, and erasers
  • A three-ringed notebook with subject dividers
  • Planner and textbooks
